At Wash & Cloth, we don’t believe in “beauty secrets.” We believe in what’s always worked — real, whole ingredients that feed your skin like good food feeds your body.
No mystery chemicals. No broken-down derivatives. No synthetic fillers pretending to be something they’re not. We’re about simple, powerful things — just as they are.
Simple. Powerful. Whole.
Our body scrub is made with just avocado oil, camelina oil, extra-fine sugar, and our safe scent — that’s it
🌿 If You Can Eat It, Why Not Treat Your Skin With It?
Would you rather eat a bright, buttery avocado — or a vague “avocado flavoring”?
Would you drizzle cold-pressed olive oil over a fresh salad — or something chemically refined and shelf-stable for 15 years?
Your skin deserves the same thought.
That’s why our body oils are made with real olive and jojoba oils, and our scrubs are powered by avocado and camelina oils — used whole, not broken down and rebuilt in a lab.
These ingredients don’t just sit on your skin. They nourish it. They feed it. And your skin recognizes them right away.
🧪 Lab-Made? No, Thanks.
Synthetic skin care is like fast food. It’s quick, mass-produced, and often full of things you don’t recognize.
Wash & Cloth is more like a home-cooked meal — slow-crafted, made with love, and full of nutrient-rich, recognizable ingredients. The kind your body understands.
Why We Say “No” to Lab-Made Skincare
You might not realize it, but a lot of popular skincare products contain synthetic chemicals that your skin doesn’t really know how to handle. Some of these ingredients can cause irritation, disrupt hormones, or even accelerate aging over time. Here’s a breakdown of some common ones and why we avoid them:
1. Parabens
What they do: Preserve products by killing bacteria and mold.
Skin impact: Can mimic estrogen in the body, which may affect hormones over time.
2. Phthalates
What they do: Make fragrances last longer or make lotions feel silky.
Skin impact: Can be absorbed through the skin and may disrupt hormone function.
3. Synthetic Fragrances
What they do: Give products a “fresh” or “pleasant” scent.
Skin impact: Often cause irritation, allergic reactions, or sensitivity, especially in delicate areas like around the eyes.
4. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)
What it does: Creates foam in cleansers and shampoos.
Skin impact: Strips natural oils, leading to dryness and irritation.
5. Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives
What they do: Keep products from spoiling.
Skin impact: Can irritate skin, eyes, and respiratory system.
The problem is, most people slather these chemicals on daily, assuming it’s “safe.” But your skin is your body’s largest organ—it absorbs whatever you put on it. That’s why we take a different approach.
At Wash & Cloth, we craft products with plant-based oils, natural butters, and safe scents. Everything is recognizable, nutrient-rich, and made to support your skin rather than irritate it. Think of it like choosing a slow-cooked, wholesome meal for your body versus a fast-food burger. Your skin deserves the same care.
Try This at Home: DIY Face Masks from Whole Ingredients
We love sharing simple rituals you can make with what’s in your kitchen right now. Here are three of our favorite whole-ingredient face masks, all built for real skin — just like our products.
🍯
1. For Dry or Mature Skin: Honey + Avocado Glow Mask
1 tablespoon mashed avocado
1 teaspoon raw honey
Optional: a few drops of jojoba or olive oil
Why it works: Avocado delivers rich moisture and antioxidants. Honey is a natural humectant, pulling water into the skin. Olive oil softens and smooths.
Apply to clean skin, leave on for 10–15 minutes, and rinse with warm water. Pat dry and glow.
🍋
2. For Oily or Acne-Prone Skin: Yogurt + Turmeric Reset Mask
1 tablespoon plain full-fat yogurt
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
Optional: a few drops of lemon juice (for brightening)
Why it works: Yogurt gently exfoliates with lactic acid, while turmeric calms irritation. Lemon adds a natural dose of vitamin C (skip if skin is sensitive).
Apply for 10 minutes max, then rinse well. Don’t forget to moisturize after!
🍓
3. For Normal Skin: Strawberry Brightening Mask
1 ripe strawberry (mashed)
1 teaspoon raw honey
Optional: 1 teaspoon oat flour or ground oats for extra softness
Why it works: Strawberries are rich in vitamin C and natural fruit acids that bring out your skin’s glow. Honey soothes and hydrates. Oats calm and condition.
Leave on for 10–12 minutes, rinse, and enjoy the instant radiance.

🌿 From Our Hands to Yours
We’re two sisters who grew up cooking from scratch, spending weekends in the kitchen and afternoons on kayak trips through the mangroves. We were raised to respect the earth, read every label, and do things the right way — even if it takes a little longer.
Wash & Cloth was born from that same spirit.
We don’t cut corners. We don’t chase trends. And we don’t believe you have to choose between something that works and something that’s real. You can have both — and you’ll find it here.
Every product we make is a reflection of the things we love most: nature, simplicity, honesty, and care that comes from the heart.
If you believe in getting back to the good stuff — the old ways, the right ways — then welcome. You’re in the right place.
